Beaverdale Rojo Tinto – 6 Bottle Wine Kit

Rojo Tinto, better known as Rioja is well known for its structure and tannins, similar to Cabernet Sauvignon, but it also has a fruity characteristic. This wine is perfect for those who love Cabernet but  also looking for the dominant cherry flavour which is often present in a wine like Pinot Noir. Rioja is Spain in a glass, it owes its name to one of the seven rivers that meander their way through the area’s mountainous north, where the vineyard-lined valley is home to a variety of grapes. Rojo Tinto is a dry wine full of black fruit flavours with hints of vanilla, spice and oak. It has a  blend of Tempranillo and Garnache grapes. The Tempranillo gives fragrance and finesse to the wine, while the Garnache give colour and power to the wine.

Beaverdale Kits

Beaverdale is a premium quality wine kit which requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice).  Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit (except water). The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3 week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will make 1 gallon (4.5 litres) of wine, which will produce around 6 bottles of delicious wine. The kit is easy to make and if you get hooked on the style it is also available in a 5 gallon (30 bottle) version.

What equipment do you need?

Basic 1 gallon winemaking equipment for example, glass or plastic demijohn, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website.

Food Pairing

Rojo Tinto (Rioja) is well known for its easier-drinking and traditionally paired with pork, chorizo and aged cheeses. Rojo Tinto (Rioja) compliments tomato based dishes and risotto.

Tips:

We recommend using a Vinbrite filter to clear the wine to a professional standard.
If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve.
