WHERE CAN I USE CHEMCLEAN?
Chemclean is very effective on stainless steel, soft metals, plastics and glass.
CAN CHEMCLEAN BE USED IN HARD WATER AREAS?
Yes, Chemclean can be used with hard or soft water.
ARE THERE ANY MATERIALS I CANNOT USE CHEMCLEAN?
Do not use on Teflon-coated equipment.
WHAT IS THE DILUTION RATE?
For manual cleaning use 50g per 5 litres of water, for soaking use 50g per 20 litres of water. Dosage may be increased up to 5% depending on soil conditions.
HOW CAN I USE CHEMCLEAN?
Chemclean can be used for all types of cleaning including soaking, manual scrubbing and recirculation cleaning.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM CONTACT TIME?
Contact time depends on the soil load but typically equipment can be soaked for up to 4 hours or used in a recirculation system for 30 minutes.
AT WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD I USE CHEMCLEAN?
Chemclean can be used hot or cold up to 60°C.
CAN I STORE AND REUSE THE DILUTED SOLUTION ONCE IT HAS BEEN MADE UP?
Chemclean will begin to dissociate after a few hours and will no longer be as effective however, you can reuse it to clean multiple pieces of equipment at the same time. Always make up fresh Chemclean solution immediately before using it.
MY CHEMCLEAN FOAMS UP A LITTLE, IS THIS RIGHT?
Chemclean can foam up when agitated but the foam quickly collapses when left to settle.
DO I NEED TO RINSE CHEMCLEAN?
Yes, Chemclean is free rinsing and should be thoroughly rinsed off ideally with warm water before sanitising with Chemsan.
HOW TO USE
Dilution: 50g per 5 litres of water for manual cleaning. 50g per 20 litres of water for soaking. Dosage may be increased up to 5% depending on soil conditions.
Preparation: Before cleaning remove as much loose soil as possible by rinsing equipment and vessels.
Manual Cleaning: Scrub all surfaces with the cleaning solution until all surfaces are clean.
Circulation Cleaning: Use 50g per 20 litres of water for fermenters, kegs, tanks, and other equipment. Circulate for 30 minutes at up to 60°C. Dilution and circulation time may need to be adjusted depending on soil load.
Soaking: Ensure all equipment to be cleaned is fully immersed. Soak for 4 hours at up to 60°C or allow to soak cold overnight. Thoroughly rinse equipment after cleaning. The solution can be reused during the cleaning process. Do not use on Teflon-coated surfaces
