Harris Essential Pale Ale is an American style Pale Ale with a delicious malt character and satisfying bitterness from Cascade hops.

We are acutely aware of the difficulties that current economic conditions are creating for our customers. Energy prices have spiralled out of control and food prices continue to increase beyond the level of inflation.

With these problems in mind, we have created the Essential range to provide a value-based beer that still delivers a quality pint. Value in our opinion does not mean cheap and cheerful. It means offering a decent quality product at an affordable price. Considerable research and development effort has been applied to deliver a solid product at a price that will make you smile.

This Harris Essential kit is supplied with 1.5kg of quality malt extract and a pack of hop pellets which will ensure a rounded pint with a pleasant hoppy aroma. A robust temperature tolerant yeast is included for problem free fermentation.

There are currently three styles to choose from, Stout, Blonde, Pale Ale, and Pilsner but there are plans to extend the range.

Essential Kits are simple to make and only require basic brewing equipment. Step by step instructions are included. They are ready to drink in around three weeks and provide a great tasting beer for as little as 40p per pint. At that price what’s not to like! Cheers.

ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

To make the Harris Essential Pale Ale, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar, 1Kg Pale Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred) or 1.2Kg Mangrove Jack’s Malt Extract. Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.
