We are acutely aware of the difficulties that current economic conditions are creating for our customers. Energy prices have spiralled out of control and food prices continue to increase beyond the level of inflation.

With these problems in mind, we have created the Essential range to provide a value-based beer that still delivers a quality pint. Value in our opinion does not mean cheap and cheerful. It means offering a decent quality product at an affordable price. We applied considerable research and development effort to deliver a solid product at a price that will make you smile.

This Harris Essential beer kit supplies 1.5kg of quality stout malt extract to ensure a well-rounded pint. We include a robust temperature tolerant yeast for problem-free fermentation.

There are currently four styles to choose from, Stout, Blonde, Pale Ale, and Pilsner but there are plans to extend the range.

Essential Kits are simple to make and only require basic brewing equipment. Step by step instructions are included. They are ready to drink in around three weeks and provide a great tasting beer for as little as 40p per pint. At that price what’s not to like! Cheers.

ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

To make the Harris Essential Stout, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar, 1Kg Dark Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred) or 1.2Kg Mangrove Jack’s Malt Extract. Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.
