Description
Simple Knock-in Corker
A simple and inexpensive way to insert straight corks into glass wine bottles. Please note that the Corker may be different from picture shown as we may need to obtain it from a different supplier.
How does it work?
- Simply put the cork inside the unit. The top plunger lifts off to reveal the cork chamber.
- Put the corker over the bottle and put the top plunger back in the top.
- Hit the plunger down with a mallet to insert the cork
- Take off the corker.
What type of corks are required?
To use a wine corker, you need to use straight wine corks. These corks are too large to insert into bottles without a corking tool. The corker chamber gets narrower as it approaches the bottle, squeezing the cork so that is it small enough to go into the bottle, whereby it expands against the bottle neck to seal along the entire length of the cork. Do not use tapered corks with a corker.
