What is the scale?

There are 2 scales, a brix and a % alcohol. The brix ranges from 0-40% and the alcohol from 0-25%

How to use a refractometer

Always calibrate the refractometer before use. Using the small pipette, add a few drops of water on the surface, close the cover and view the result. It should read 0. If not, using the supplied screwdriver, you can adjust the screw to correct the reading. Wipe away the water with a clean cloth or tissue. To test your juice or wine, add a few drops to the surface, close the cover and view through the lens to see the result.
